Moneta Opens New Kansas City Office to Support Continued Growth

Our third Kansas City expansion since 2020 creates more room for our growing team and reflects our long-term commitment to the market

Moneta opened a new Kansas City office in Mission Woods, giving our growing local team more room to serve clients, collaborate, and continue building our presence in the market.

Located at 1957 W. 51st Street, Suite 500, Mission Woods, KS 66205, the new office opened Oct. 29 and accommodates 25 employees, with capacity for 19 more. It marks Moneta’s third office move in the area since opening our first Kansas City location in 2020.

For Steven Diederich, a Moneta Partner who grew up in Kansas City and returned to help launch the office, the new space represents how much that presence has grown.

“I grew up here, and when I moved back to help launch this office, the goal was to build something that would last,” Diederich said. “This space reflects how far our team and our clients have come. It’s a place where we can welcome clients, attract great people and keep building the kind of firm Kansas City advisors want to be part of.”

Built for Kansas City and Built for Growth

Moneta served clients in Kansas City before establishing a physical presence here. When we opened our first local office in 2020, we brought experienced advisors with Kansas City roots to the market and continued adding local talent and teams as the business grew.

Our new office builds on that commitment. Designed as a smaller-scale version of Moneta’s St. Louis headquarters at The Plaza, the Mission Woods space combines modern workspaces with dedicated areas for client meetings and collaboration, incorporating the same focus on natural light, hospitality and client experience.

“When Moneta enters a market, we commit to it,” Moneta CEO, Eric Kittner, said. “We open our own office, bring in advisors who know the community, add talent and keep investing as the team grows. Kansas City is a clear example of that approach in action, and this new office is the next step. It also reflects what is happening across Moneta as we continue to build a national firm one market at a time.”

A Local Example of Moneta’s National Growth

Kansas City is part of a broader pattern of growth for Moneta. We first expanded beyond St. Louis with a Denver office in 2019, followed by Kansas City in 2020, Boston in 2021 and Chicago in 2022. Moneta later expanded into Boulder, Philadelphia and New Jersey. Over that period, Moneta’s assets under management have grown from $14.5 billion at the end of 2015 to more than $50 billion today.

Across those markets, our approach has been consistent: establish a local presence, build around experienced advisors and continue investing in the market through organic growth, new talent and like-minded teams. The new Kansas City office is the latest example of that approach.

“Kansas City is where you can see the Moneta model working,” Moneta President and COO, Keith Bowles, said. “Advisors here have the resources of a national firm, including an investment platform built for high-net-worth clients, trust and estate planning, and strong back-office support, while still running their practices as owners. A premier address in Mission Woods tells clients, advisors and firms in this market that we are here for the long term.”

More Room for What Comes Next

The new office also creates room for Moneta’s Kansas City presence to continue growing. We plan to add 8–10 employees in Kansas City over the next 12–24 months while continuing to grow through both organic growth and the addition of like-minded teams.

Moneta is 100% partner-owned, with no outside investors or private equity, and advisors who join the firm become owners. Our platform includes an investment approach built around the needs of high-net-worth clients, in-house trust and estate planning services, a Chief Philanthropy Officer, a family education platform and a Partner-in-Training program.
