Moneta financial advisors help retirement plan sponsors reduce their risks and improve investment decisions with live fiduciary training courses
Moneta offers a broad and diverse set of specialized experts to help its clients navigate any financial complexity they face.
To that end, certain Moneta financial advisors are part of an elite professional community of fiduciary specialists who have earned credibility and distinction in the industry with the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) Designation.
With increasing regulatory pressure to implement fiduciary standards of care, retirement plan sponsors can turn to these Moneta advisors to learn how they can improve their fiduciary decision-making process and reduce the overall risks associated with managing plans.
Many retirement plan sponsors, stewards and investment committee members are unaware of their fiduciary duties and responsibilities. If you are in a decision-making role regarding your company’s retirement plan, it is your legal responsibility to ensure that decisions are being made in the best interest of the retirement plan participants and beneficiaries. As a retirement plan fiduciary, you may be personally liable for the decisions made on behalf of the retirement plan.
Moneta financial advisors can help you navigate that path.

Moneta Financial Advisors Deliver Fiduciary Training
Three of Moneta’s advisors with the AIF® designation completed additional certification to become qualified instructors for Fi360’s Fiduciary Essentials for Defined Contribution Plans (FEDC) training course. They are three of only four individuals in St. Louis that can deliver this program, which they taught in person on two separate occasions during 2019 in addition to a 3-part webinar series at the beginning of the year.
The course for retirement plan sponsors explores the full scope of responsibilities and minimizing liability through a clear understanding of how to fulfill those duties to the standard of care required by law. Moneta’s advisors train sponsors to:
- Understand their important role and responsibilities as plan fiduciaries.
- Reduce compliance and litigation risks associated with management of retirement plans.
- Implement an effective and prudent fiduciary decision-making process.
- Learn how to select and work with qualified advisors, consultants and plan service providers.
- Create training documentation for their fiduciary file and potential Department of Labor (DOL) audits.
