Moneta Private Markets Advisor, Mindy Mitchell, addressed the topic of private credit allocations in client portfolios while speaking at an invitation-only event focused on alternative investment insight across private equity, real estate, and credit.
“Over the past few years, private credit allocations have become an increasingly important part of our private markets program,” Mitchell said. “When the bond market was not fetching attractive yields starting around March 2020, we began shifting a portion of traditional fixed income allocations towards private credit strategies in client portfolios that could handle additional illiquidity as a way to enhance returns for investors without taking on outsized risk.”
At the September 15th event, audience members were privileged to hear the perspective of many respected investors and fund managers, who shared thoughts on portfolio construction, the market, and other timely topics.
Mitchell was joined on the panel by an impressive group of professionals including the CIO from a nationally known foundation, an investment professional at the City of Stamford Pension Fund, and the Founder and managing partner of Star Mountain.
