Moneta’s Board of Managers unanimously approved Nicole Bailey, Bill Dickens, Travis Freeman and Brooke Hunady to be admitted to the firm as Partners, effective January 1, 2020.
“These four have completed the Partner-in-Training program and met the rigorous demands of the program by successfully demonstrating their ability to drive business growth, lead client relationships, cultivate practice management and lead teams,” said Eric Kittner, Moneta’s Managing Partner and Chairman of the Board. “I am inspired by the future they represent for our firm.”
The new class of Partners serves as the most recent example of Moneta’s commitment to growing and developing world-class talent internally through its Partner-in-Training program and career pathing supported by Moneta University.
Recruiting and retaining talent is increasingly difficult in the financial services industry, which features a tight and highly competitive job market at a time when succession planning continues to rise in relevancy for firms with aging advisors. InvestmentNews encouraged other wealth management firms to look at Moneta for inspiration on this front as MonetaU leads the way in its innovative approach to establishing a sustainable business model.
“Our team members are our most important resource, and our continued commitment to growing and developing talent within our firm ensures a sustainable future for us all,” Kittner said.
Driven by her passion for promoting females in financial services, Bailey now becomes Moneta’s youngest female Partner. As women continue to represent a higher percentage of overall wealth, she strives to educate them to ensure they are exceedingly more comfortable in dealing with financial matters. Helping families plan for their children, watching them grow up and then serving those future generations directly is one of the most rewarding aspects of Bailey’s role as a Family CFO. Bailey’s rise as a next-gen leader at Moneta generated fresh energy and progress internally while building trust and confidence amongst the families she serves.
Dickens works to help clients think through the various financial decisions that they face. In this challenging and rewarding role, he appreciates the confidence that clients place in his team not only as an advisor, but also as a family advocate. Dickens applies his significant experience and expertise in helping business owners, executives, and many physicians navigate their pursuit of financial independence. Having parents with over 30 years of service to the federal government, he also maintains a specialty in advising federal employees on the complexities of retirement from public service.
Freeman merged his independent financial planning practice into Moneta in 2018 to gain access to new resources and solutions for his clients, a move that came as a precursor to Moneta’s first expansion outside of St. Louis in the following year. Freeman serves as the Family CFO for affluent business executives by helping them build and manage wealth while guiding them towards the achievement of their financial goals. He is a frequent television guest on local KTVI Channel 2 and has been quoted in numerous publications, such as The Wall Street Journal, St. Louis Business Journal, St. Louis Magazine, Kansas City Business Journal, Plan Sponsor Magazine, Investment News and more. He also published a book titled, Make Your Money Work.
Hunady leverages her wealth of experience in the financial planning industry to help individuals, families and organizations create a roadmap plotting a course to their financial goals. Winner of the Five Star Professional Award annually since 2011, she uses her expertise in retirement and estate planning, investment management and tax counsel to work with clients and their outside advisors to ensure that the end result is always in the client’s best interest. The St. Louis Business Journal selected Hunady to speak about fiscal fitness at its Women’s Conference in 2020, where she will help her audience gain understanding about the meaning of money in their life as women and its impact on them, their career and their family.
