Happy New Year, and welcome to 2026! Although challenging at times, we feel 2025 was a successful year and hope you all feel the same. Our team completed a variety of year-end projects while spending time with loved ones during this holiday season. It felt quite odd to have next to no snow here in Colorado throughout December, but we hope you found the holiday magic wherever you went or stayed!
Team Member Spotlight – Erin
This year, the festive period was especially meaningful, filled with laughter, memorable moments with colleagues during our office white elephant exchange, and cherished time with family—from holiday shopping to preparing Thanksgiving dinner.
These experiences reminded me of the importance of connection, both personally and professionally. As we look ahead to the new year, I am energized and ready to embrace new opportunities, and I look forward to continuing our collaboration.

Team Member Spotlight – Jackson
This holiday season was packed with new memories. I spent Christmas at my childhood home in Inverness, IL and then ventured to Mexico with my girlfriend’s family for a week of fun in the sun! One of my favorite traditions is my Mom’s “mystery gifts,” where you play Christmas trivia for the right to unwrap a gift (usually there is something inside to please your sweet tooth).
The thing I enjoy most is just spending time with loved ones, reminiscing on old holiday memories, and laughing endlessly about the jokes that never got old in the last 30 years!
Pro tip: Leftover fruit from breakfast makes for the best margaritas! 😊
Team Member Spotlight – Shannon
Reflecting on the holidays as the year ended, it was filled with fun, family, friends, hard work, and a lot of food. I am looking forward to a new year filled with health, happiness, and outdoor adventures. I’ve included some pictures of my shenanigans with Paco, our Chief of Staff. Thank you for the trust you place with our team. I look forward to working with each of you this coming year to help you navigate challenges, celebrate your wins, and meet your goals.

As we worked hard on all things year-end related, we also remembered that it’s important to have a bit of fun at work and we shared that fun with other Moneta teams in our office. I thoroughly enjoyed my second year of “helping” our office shelf elf, Mo, find new activities each day. Mo even had his own office this year and had some fun playing holiday scrabble. He also did a bit of client service work (you can see a photo of him hard at work reviewing a tax return). May your new year be filled with moments that make you smile!

Our first deadline of the year approaches quickly with estimated tax payments due by January 15, setting the stage for our team’s primary focus of Q1 2026. Our goal is to help you approach tax season with as little stress as possible, assuming the leadership role in communicating with your tax preparers in advance of Tax Day in April. We recommend you begin compiling your personal tax documents as soon as they are available, while understanding the expectation that some documents may not be available until March. We will always do our best to adhere to the preferences of our clients and their CPAs during tax season, making the process as smooth and seamless as we can for everyone.
We are here alongside you to create a fantastic start to 2026. However, we’d love to hear how you concluded 2025 and the memories you created.
