We hope that the first quarter of 2026 set the stage for you all to have a fantastic year. Here in Colorado, we’ve experienced what feels like all four seasons in the first three months of the year. We have learned to expect the unpredictable. However, we hope that spring and warmer temperatures are on the way wherever you may be.
Our team’s highest priority for Q1 of 2026 was to ensure our clients received the support they needed in advance of filing 2025 tax returns.
Our ongoing promise is to assume a leadership role in the gathering of tax documents and communication with everyone involved to ensure tax returns are filed in a timely manner. Because there is typically only 6-8 weeks between the release of tax documents and the April tax deadline, our goal as your accountability partner is to ensure timeliness throughout tax season to avoid last-minute need for action.

As we begin the second quarter, I’m amazed at how swiftly the year is moving along. Time truly does fly! On a more personal note, I recently celebrated my 15th wedding anniversary with my husband Ben, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place than Costa Rica for this special occasion. Our week-long adventure was packed with memorable moments—touring Costa Rica landscapes, marveling at volcanoes, hiking through the mountains, unwinding on the beautiful beaches, and even surfing! This trip really made me appreciate the joy of sharing life’s journeys with a partner who’s not only wonderful company but also the perfect travel companion, especially when it comes to navigating the twists and turns of international adventures.
For anyone who hasn’t been to Costa Rica yet, it’s definitely a destination worth adding to your bucket list. My absolute favorite highlight was the Tabacón Thermal Resort, where we soaked in rivers naturally warmed by the nearby volcano—an experience that truly felt magical! On the professional front, I was honored to be invited to speak in Washington D.C. at a Women’s Leadership Retreat. The topic focused on building a future-ready business and staying relevant in an era of investment innovations—essentially, how to adapt to the rapidly evolving landscape of business and investment opportunities. It was a fantastic experience to connect with so many inspiring leaders and share ideas about navigating all the dynamic changes of 2026 in our industry.
As we head into the next quarter, I feel especially grateful for these personal milestones and the professional momentum that is building. Here’s to a fantastic start to spring and many more successes ahead!

The first quarter of 2026 was jam-packed with exciting moments. In January, the Indiana Hoosiers won their first National Championship in football. I’ve never been more proud to wear the Cream and Crimson!
Just over a month ago, I got engaged in Vail, CO at the base of the mountain. It was a moment I will never forget. Plenty of memories I will cherish forever were made as several family members were with us to celebrate! The snow conditions weren’t always great this winter, but the engagement certainly made up for it. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings, but it will be difficult to top this first quarter.
I’m excited for the months ahead as Colorado presents so many options to enjoy the outdoors and stay active. You can likely find me on the tennis court, golf course, or on a hike most weekends throughout the warmer months! 😊

Now that we’ve wrapped up the first quarter of the year, I’ve been reflecting just how quickly time moves. It’s a helpful reminder that while markets can shift day to day, the bigger picture is what truly matters. The same is true in our own lives—progress often happens gradually, through consistent, thoughtful decisions made over time.
On a more personal note, one of my goals this year was to find the right “pound puppy buddy” for Paco after fostering Sid. After spending time with several wonderful dogs through rescues and shelters, I came across Ollie—an underweight stray who immediately stood out. His name, “Old Man Ollie,” felt too fitting to change, although the only “old” thing about him is the way he snores and grumbles in his sleep.
Ollie has brought a great dynamic to our home. He matches Paco’s playful energy, somehow making Paco seem like the calm, distinguished elder of the two. He’s quickly become part of the pack and has transitioned seamlessly to the dog park and daycare. While he’s still working on a few things—like bath time, nail trims, and learning to swim—he’s settling right in.

As we transition into my favorite season, I’m eager to spend more time outdoors soaking up the fresh air and sunshine. Of course, with the arrival of spring comes the tradition of spring cleaning—chores like cleaning windows, dusting ceiling fans, and tackling baseboards.
This year, I’m also taking on a task that tends to be overlooked: updating our estate documents. While the process of spring cleaning and estate planning isn’t exactly thrilling, I do appreciate the peace of mind that comes with having everything squared away. There’s something incredibly rewarding about reaching the finish line on these annual tasks.
Wishing everyone a fulfilling spring-cleaning season; may it bring you a sense of accomplishment and a fresh start for the months ahead!

Before we know it, summer will be here! As always, we’d love to hear about what you and your families are planning for 2026. In conjunction with helping you achieve your goals, we are eager to get a glimpse of what matters most to you outside of financial planning.
